09/30/2017 11:30 am
Turner Cemetery, 3424 Beechwood Boulevard, Pittsburgh, PA 15217.
Turner Cemetery is Pittsburgh’s second oldest cemetery. Dating back to 1785, it holds the remains of early settlers of Squirrel Hill and Greenfield plus veterans of the first four wars fought by the United States. Every year the Mary S. Brown Memorial Ames United Methodist Church and Friends of Turner Cemetery hold a history walk at the graveyard at 3424 Beechwood Boulevard. This year the celebration will include the dedication of the new Simon Girty Pennsylvania State Historical Marker.
